There is no simple way to fully describe what Golden is all about.

At first glance it can appear to be a sleepy little mountain town but look a little closer and you will see a rich, vibrant and exciting community full of incredible arts &  culture adventure and a whole lot of heart.  The Golden Taps pub is one of the local hotspots where you are always welcome just as you are.  Muddy ski boots, spiffy golf tee, carharts or high heels…meet me at the Taps. 

It must be said that if it’s worth doing it’s worth doing right and at the Taps we’ve decided to do pub food right.  It’s nothing too fancy, but it’s always made fresh and is exactly what you ordered.

Find your way to good times

Golden is located about an hour west of Lake Lousie, Alberta.  It is sandwiched between the majestic Rocky and Columbia Mountains.  While we have all the stunning beauty of a National Park we have none of the fees and restrictions so we’re a little wilder here.  We’re also in the Columbia Valley which is one of the world’s largest wetlands offering more than 300 species of birds and mammals.

Turn off highway 1 onto highway 95, follow the road into ‘downtown’ Golden, turn right onto 6th Street North, then left on 9th Ave.  About halfway down the street, on your right hand side you’ll find the Golden Taps Pub.
